There are days in prison where anger and hatred, mixed with a feeling of helplessness reach the maximum. The police arrested Comrade XXXX, who is currently imprisoned here in Fleury, but in another building, which prevents us from having any contact.
The comrade is held under pre-trial detention in building D2, on charges related to the barbecue with bleusaille sauce case. I do not know the exact content of the charges, but I do know that he is being held on a criminal warrant. So he is also likely to be accused of attempted murder of two representatives of order.
These accusations are absurd because we know, and the justice system also knows, that the intention behind this beautiful act of insubordination was not to burn the cops who were sitting in the burning police car but to scorch them a little, literally, just to soften their flesh. Be that as it may, I don’t care whether the comrade is guilty or innocent of the facts of which he is accused. It is enough for me to know that he is an anarchist to feel solidarity and it is enough for me to share the facts in order to feel complicit with him.
We have shared moments of complicit and joyful revolt with the comrade, moments of camaraderie and wonderful friendship with a comrade who was always on the front line when it came to fighting. Like that day of March 24, 2016, when he was arrested, when we fiercely fought against the BAC (riot police) and the protest marshals of the CGT (General Confederation of Labour trade union), who could no longer contain the revolt and joined forces to repress it with huge blows of truncheons and gas.
Today after the sounds of the boots of the cops and the rape they committed in the name of security, while rabidly regaining sporadic possession of the street during a few riots, while the repression falls on rebels of all colors, let us ignite the fire of anarchist violence.
To the useful tools of power, from the rapper Fianso to the ‘truth and justice’ collective who called for calm by asking their masters, policemen and judges to do their repressive work with more leniency, let us remind them of something simple:
A good cop is a dead cop!
Solidarity and offensive complicity with the comrade! A thought also for Kara who is imprisoned for the same accusations and remains dignified and coherent.
Since I have always considered the anarchist intervention to be international, I will use this letter to express my solidarity with the accused bank robbers in the Aachen case in Germany, with those detained by Operation Scripta Manent in Italy, and the two comrades accused of the attack against the police academy in Brescia.
End of February 2017.
