Lacroisille/Appelle: The series of attacks against the A69 continues

When the world of concrete catches fire again and again

On the night of May 23 to 24, a new bonfire sparkled on this grey horizon
The IPCC aims to show its presence with the destruction of construction equipment at the French national level in order to counter the lack of ecological justice.

The concessionaires and project managers feel their project threatened, whether legally, from public opinion or from citizen opposition. They are trying to impose it by force so as not to lose a crumb of the juicy profits that land-grabbing promises them.

There is still time to turn back!

The legal channels are desperately slow, which could allow concrete action to emerge even before the outcome of the appeals. Despite the surveillance and heavy repression, we do not want a new forceful passage of the state. We have no other choice than to intervene for the population to have a chance to have its say on the question of common resources.

It is not for pleasure that we risk years in prison, but the current state of democracy leaves us no choice! We call on the relevant “in” authorities to face their responsibilities regarding unnecessary and nature-destroying projects before the point of no return.

We demand the abandoning of the project, amnesty for all those prosecuted for their opposition to ecocidal decisions. Those who are locked up and whose freedom is restricted. We have no choice but to continue UNTIL this project and other ecocidal projects are abandoned.

Strength to the Kanak rioters, to the Palestinian people, to our locked up brothers and sisters and to those who are fighting against oppression whatever it might be!

At the start of the week, the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, responded to a letter from the mayor of Lavaur and defender of the A69, Bernard Carayon, promising “the availability of gendarmes and police officers to intervene on the A69 construction site as much as is necessary.”

[…] The tension is not weakening around the contested site, while a large rally against the A69 is looming on June 7-8 to 9 at the call of the Earth Uprisings.
and according to“ 100% radio[…] During the night from Thursday to Friday, around 3 a.m., an excavator and an articulated dumper were set on fire in the town of Appelle, near Puylaurens. […] »
