From Paris to Athens from the depths of our hearts

Indymedia Lille / Tuesday, the 19th of november 2024

On the 31th of October, a bomb exploded in an apartment in Athens, blowing the apartment up, killing our companion Kyriakos and injuring another companion, Marianna, who is now in hospital, out of danger. We wish to her that she will recover quickly and without after-effects. We are with her in thoughts. With Kyriakos the movement lost a companion and some lost a friend, a loved one.

But in its war, the State never allows a ceasefire : Kyriakos was hardly gone for a few hours when it started already to attack our mourning companions, unleashed its henchmen against the ones it already called « terrorists » and « guerilleros » as a reference to the guerillas of the 2000’. Many persons, M. among them, are thus targeted by a counter-terrorist investigation and prosecuted for 8 charges.
We send also strength and solidarity to her and to the prosecuted Dimitra and Dimitris and all other companions targeted by repression !

Let us no be fooled : the one spreading terror is the State. And the anarchists did not wait for the proposal of armed struggle to attack authority with flyers, posters and squats as well as with stones, knives, guns and bombs.

Nauseating voices are raised, willing to make us doubt about our companions and to divide us, claiming that some means can never be good and that bombs are nothing but tools for death. There we want to reassert again our solidarity and our trust to our companions : if they were building a bomb, we believe they would have wanted to used it in a beautiful way.
To Marianna, to her loved ones and to Kyriakos’ loved ones, to Dimitra and Dimitris and to our anarchist companions in Athens : you have our thoughts and our solidarity. Going through this double ordeal, keep courage in your heart and determination bound to the body, facing the coming repression.
We are with you.
