Three migrants were reported to have escaped from Palaiseau detention centre in southern Paris on Sunday night, after refusing to cooperate with their deportation earlier that day. They were thought to have used the emergency exit. One of the men was recaptured but the others remain free.
Earlier this year, two others escaped from the same detention centre – one of whom was recaptured. In July, five detainees sawed through one of the bars on the cell windows and descended on a rope made of sheets. According to the mainstream media, four were apparently recaptured and one remains at liberty.
